Game Area

  One plays the football in an area of natural or artificial lawn of rectangular form. The measures allowed of the area are from 90 to 120 meters of length and from 45 to 90 meters of width, but for international parties the following measures are recommended: between 100 and 110 meters of length, and between 64 and 75 meters of width. Both lines located along the area receive the name of lateral lines or of band, whereas others are called lines of goal or final. The average points of every line of band are joined by another line, the line happens.On the center of every line of goal and entering in the area, there are located the penal areas, the áreas de meta and the goals or desks. The so called goals, also known as desks or arches, consist of two vertical posts (acquaintances like sticks or vertical) of 2,44 meters of high place located to 7,32 meters of separation and on the center of every line of goal. The top parts of the posts are joined by another horizontal post known as transom or door jamb. The penal areas are rectangular areas located in the center of the goals and entering the area.These are planned to 16,5 meters of the vertical posts, entering also 16,5 meters towards the interior of the area, and then joining for another major line. The tracing of the goal area is equal, but using a measure of 5,5 meters.
